Prior’s Field is a small boarding and day school for girls, located near the Surrey town of Godalming. The campus, despite being relatively compact, manages to feel both spacious and welcoming, and the girls are part of a busy and happy community. It was founded in 1902 and aims to provide an education that will encourage all girls to have self-belief and push their own boundaries, whether academically or in Music, Drama or Sport. The school has invested in new Science teaching facilities and results in all three sciences are strong. Music is fantastic, and there is an endangered instrument programme which encourages girls to learn lesser known or less popular instruments. Prior’s Field is one of the few girls’ schools to offer Music Technology BTEC and has outstanding facilities. The Art department is also an inspiring place with Photography and Textiles offered alongside Fine Art and many girls go on to prestigious Art Schools. The school also offers a Tennis Academy programme for a small number of talented girls and will always try to support an elite athlete in any field if possible. For the relatively small number of boarders - about 20% of the student body -  facilities are very good, and 6^th formers all have single rooms, with en-suites for Year 13. There is a much loved dedicated 6^th form loft space which acts as a common room and relaxation area, open to both day students and boarders. Prior’s Field has a small number of international students from 20 different countries. Learning support is provided for those that need it, normally on a 1-1 basis, but all teachers are trained in methods to support girls with dyslexia.  Overall, this is a warm, friendly and inclusive school where all girls are supported and empowered to achieve their goals.
