Newton Prep is a large and very successful co-educational prep school in Battersea, one of the most popular up and coming residential areas of South London. From the outside the school is not spectacular, but once inside the gates you can't help but be impressed by the bright and welcoming space and the fantastic facilities. The classrooms are all bright and welcoming and the music and drama spaces are quite exceptional for a prep school. There is a lovely, very well-stocked library at the heart of the school and unusually for a London school there are very good sports facilities on site. About 10% of pupils have English as a second language and EAL support is provided. Children can stay until either 11 or 13 and they go on to a wide range of top senior day and boarding schools.
